"I was going to send you a note today anyway and just thank you for having these awesome virtual classes up and running SO quickly. Other local gyms didn’t have it figured out as quickly as you did. It’s been a life saver for me these past couple weeks! In fact this could be a good option (virtual) once we are back to ‘normal’ too. For those cold winter days that you don’t want to bundle up and go out , etc. just a thought. But really, thanks so much . You all are awesome!"

"I love to exercise, it makes me feel strong, connected to my body, and it lifts my spirit. I feel like exercise is really important especially during these difficult times! Gyms and studios are closed, and often the weather is not nice enough to spend time outdoors, and we are shut off from a lot of other people. I am a nurse anesthetist, musician, and Pilates instructor, and while I can certainly give myself a good workout, I really, really miss the people connection, and when I have a class scheduled, I will carve out that time for myself. An instructor will motivate and push me as well."

"When the lockdown in Michigan due to coronavirus occurred and extended, I looked around for streaming options to keep exercising. Many studios offered very little, and often at times I worked at my day job. Core Sport really jumped to the challenge, and I have really really enjoyed the classes I have taken. I have gone to the studio before I had a big operation in July 2019, and then had planned to take more classes once I was stronger, which took a long time, then coronavirus hit. Thank you Core Sport, for helping me get stronger, improve my balance, keep my spirits up, motivate me, and provide a much needed social interaction. I hope to do some equipment classes after the restrictions are lifted, and some classes I did not take live in the past, but I hope the Zoom option is available after the restrictions are lifted, as I live in Ann Arbor."

"The Virtual Core Sport classes have allowed me to keep up with my fitness goals and be connected - they've helped me stay optimistic during these crazy times. I prefer them to recorded sessions because the instructors do provide feedback if I'm doing something wrong and I have a chance to say hello. I love the reformer mat classes and the pop-up classes too. I wish I could do more of them"

"Like everyone living in through this craziness caused by COVID-19, I miss my life. There are so many things I took for granted - dinner and a movie with my husband, a glass of wine with my friend, lunch with my mom and daughters, my grandchildren spending the night...and working out at Core Sport. Like you, I want us all healthy and I want my life back. In that regard, Core Sport has come through for me. When the gyms and workout facilities were shut down, they said "okay, we'll do online classes from the studio." Then the pandemic became so bad that we were under a Shelter in Place ordinance, they said "okay, our instructors will do the classes from their own homes." I support Core Sport, I participate in the online classes and have even added classes I don't normally participate in because I love everything about this studio. I love the instructors. I love the women I have met and work out with. And most of all, I love that they are so dedicated to their jobs that they have invited us all into their homes to give us back a little bit of our own lives. Please join me. Much of these practices can be done independently, but I find that I am much less likely to carve the time out on my own. I am more accountable when I sign up for a class, have it on the calendar and know I’ll be seeing friendly faces! "After doing functional training twice a week at Core Sport for the last 6 years, I recently converted to an all Pilates workout. As a 55 year old guy, I was guilty of having preconceived notions about the benefits of Pilates. The main reason that I felt comfortable switching to the all Pilates program was because of my trainer, Kristin. She is highly skilled and very adept at insuring that I get the most out of each training session. After only a week, any concerns I had that doing Pilates exclusively would not be challenging or all that beneficial were quickly erased."

"What has Pilates done for me? My daughter badgered me for many months to join Pilates because she saw that I was losing strength, balance and coordination. To be frank I finally got tired of hearing her talk about Pilates and what it would do for me. So, I finally agreed to try Pilates for one month. I really did not know how much strength, coordination and balance I had lost in the 10-12 years I had been retired. I have to admit that my life has really changed since then. I went for one month and I really started noticing the improvement. When I started, I could not shoot a basketball up to the hoop, now I can. I couldn't lift more than 5 10- lb and now I can lift 30-40 lbs. What I notice most is improvement in my balance and coordination. It's been 6+ yrs. and I still go to my 1 hr. class each week. I am 76 years old, but I am in much better shape than when I started Pilates. It truly has been great for me!!!!"

" Pilates is tough. I had no idea what really engaging/developing my core was until I started exercising solely with Pilates. I also was amazed at how quickly my body changed as I engaged muscles in ways not previously tested or used. I also discovered that Pilates was easier on my body – my knees and other joints feel better. I even have learned new things – such as the word “teasers” is more apt to make you cry than laugh. "
